GERMANO BROTHERS MECHANIC

This is a series of shots done for Germano Bros Automotive. They have been based in Coburg for the last 40 years, and this series is to archive their business as they were soon closing for retirement. ​​​​​​​​​
I had a great time listening to all their stories, and it was a pleasure to see how passionate they are about their work and customers. This is evident in the fact that they are as busy as ever, with many returning customers and friends dropping off their cars and staying for a chat.

Regarding the shoot, the workspace was quite dark; however, I complimented the natural light with a single backlight and kept a documentary photographic style to not get in the way. I feel this approach is the perfect way to create an immersive environment that isn’t overworked, where the audience can focus on the story that is told through the imagery.
